AIMCAL is changing its name to the Association for Roll-to-Roll Converters. The purpose of this change was two-fold: first, broadening our name to “roll-to-roll converters” more accurately represents who we are as an organization, as we have many members who are not technically metallizers, coaters, or laminators.In addition, shortening the acronym and clarifying the name allows us to more clearly communicate who we are to potential members. Because one of the goals of our strategic plan is to become the “top-of-mind” resource for all members of the global roll-to-roll community, removing any barriers to explaining our organization isa helpful step in this direction.
I’m truly thrilled for the future of our organization. We have a strong, 50-year history that grounds us. This, coupled with our current members and innovative approach, makes us poised for an exciting future!
